Horror favourites, supernatural cinema and Halloween specials are coming to Brewery Arts in Kendal this autumn as part of a new season called Cine-Macabre.

Announced on 25 September 2026, the programme brings together cult films, chilling classics and landmark anniversary screenings, with a line-up ranging from werewolves and zombies to ghost stories and Japanese horror.

Films screening in October

The season opens with a 50th-anniversary screening of The Omen on 7 October. It is followed by British horror film Dog Soldiers on 14 October, Zombie Flesh Eaters on 22 October and Japanese horror film Pulse on 28 October.

Families and younger film fans can attend Hocus Pocus & Frightful Family Crafts on 24 October, combining the Halloween favourite with spooky craft activities.

Halloween and November screenings

As Halloween approaches, Brewery Arts will show a double bill of Creepshow and Trick ’r Treat on 30 October. John Carpenter’s Halloween follows on 31 October.

The programme continues in November with The Uninvited + Kendal Ghost Walk on 1 November. Two further anniversary screenings are scheduled: Manhunter on 4 November and The Silence of the Lambs on 10 November.

Brewery Arts said Cine-Macabre is intended both for people revisiting horror favourites and those discovering cult classics for the first time. Full cinema listings are available through Brewery Arts.

Visitors can also book a meal at the venue’s Bar & Restaurant before or after a film. The restaurant says its seasonal menus include locally baked treats, sharing dishes and plant-based or gluten-free options, with local Lakes produce used in the cooking.
