A man has been remanded in custody after admitting three theft offences involving Kendal and Blackpool.

Stanley Perry, 34, from Cheshire, was arrested on Thursday, September 24, after he was suspected of stealing a bike from an education building in Kendal, committing a shop theft in the town and carrying out a separate theft in Blackpool.

Court appearance

Cumbria Police said Perry was charged with all three offences and appeared before magistrates on Saturday, September 26. He entered guilty pleas to each charge and was immediately recalled to prison.

Sentencing and proposed order

Perry is due to return to court in October for sentencing. Officers also said an application had been made for a Criminal Behaviour Order, intended to help prevent similar offences in the future.
