Kendal’s Iceland store will close permanently this weekend, with shoppers facing the retailer’s final opening hours at the Highgate branch.
The store is due to shut its doors for the last time at 4pm on Saturday, September 19.
Final opening time confirmed
The closure means the Iceland shop on Highgate will no longer trade after Saturday afternoon. The announcement gives customers a specific final closing time, but the supplied report does not state why the branch is closing or what will happen to the premises afterwards.
Other local retailer presence
Iceland also operates the Food Warehouse chain. In Kendal, that chain has a branch at the town’s South Lakeland Business Park, meaning the retailer continues to have another named local presence.
The report does not confirm whether the Food Warehouse branch will be affected by the Highgate store’s closure.
