Kendal Rugby Union Football Club has added four re-signings and five new players to its confirmed squad as preparations continue for the new season.

The update, published by the club on Friday 14 August, also confirms two new board members and provides further detail on the players expected to feature for the Black and Amber.

New arrivals and returning players

The four additional re-signings are Andy Rogers, Joe Anderson, Dev Coyle and Dini Noyo. The club said Rogers is progressing well after an operation, with the aim of returning to the team in the New Year.

New signings include prop Finn Kennedy, who has made 35 appearances for Carlisle over the past two seasons, and hooker Angus Knight. Knight played junior rugby for both Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale. The club’s update also records rugby links involving Syston, Thanet Wanderers, Loughborough and Kirtstall, although it notes that available records differ over his recent playing history.

Arran Sulivan, a front-row player from Aspatria, has also joined the squad. Zane Butler is returning from New Zealand. Butler first made his Kendal debut in 2008/09 and has 36 tries from 92 appearances. His previous spell included the promotion-winning 2015/16 team, although he missed the final match that season after breaking a leg against Leigh.

2026/27 squad and club changes

The players already confirmed to return include Aaron Stephens, Alfie Bradshaw, Barney Coxon, Ben Dixon, Ben O’Halloran, Dan Shorrock, Dane Blenkharn, Glenn Chesher, Luke Atkinson, Matty Houghton, Ollie Rose, Oscar Coxon and Patrick Wolstenholme. Dixon will serve as captain for a third season.

The club said more names would follow as they filter through. Away from the playing squad, Abby Alexander and Dan Stephens have joined the board as two new members.
