Kendal Rugby Union Football Club has opened a detailed window on its playing history, publishing appearance and scoring records that stretch from the First XV’s earliest listed data in 1905 to the end of the 2025 season.
The records identify the players who have made the biggest mark on the club’s senior teams. They cover First XV appearances and points across more than a century, alongside Wasps statistics from the 2013/14 campaign through 2025/26.
The club has, however, cautioned that the Wasps information is based on records found so far and may not be complete. The rankings therefore provide a record of the team’s documented history, while leaving open the possibility that further research could change some totals.
First XV appearance leaders
Glenn Chesher leads the First XV appearance table with 243 matches. Matt Houghton is just behind on 240, while Alistair Thompson has recorded 200 appearances.
Reece Tomlinson follows with 183 matches and Dini Noyo has made 157 appearances. Together, the figures offer a long-term view of service to Kendal’s First XV and set the leading appearance totals alongside the club’s more recent records.
Aaron Stephens leads the First XV points table with 361 points from 78 appearances. His total includes 12 tries, nine conversions and 53 penalties.
Houghton is next with 320 points, followed by Noyo on 295. Evan Moir has scored 227 points in 25 appearances, including 16 tries, three conversions and two penalties, while Ollie Rose has recorded 140 points from 42 appearances.
Wasps milestones and scoring records
Aimee Sharp tops the Wasps appearance list with 125 matches. Sarah Wilkinson has made 110 appearances and Hayley Hodgson has 109.
Hodgson leads the Wasps points table, with 734 points from 140 tries and 17 conversions. Wilkinson is second on 270 points, followed by Tamar Benson on 253.
The Wasps table brings together players whose records began in 2013/14 with newer entries from the 2025/26 season. Because the club says gaps may remain in the underlying information, the totals should be read as the best available record so far rather than necessarily a final historical account.
Records available to supporters
Kendal Rugby Union Football Club has made downloadable documents available covering Wasps appearances and scoring from 2013/14 to 2025/26, as well as combined First XV appearance and scoring records for the period from 1905 to 2026.
The publication gives players, supporters and the wider Kendal rugby community a reference point for the club’s leading appearance-makers and scorers. It also creates a basis for future updates if additional Wasps records are found and added to the published totals.
